We attended only two shows this year, but with super results. On December 22 it was time for the "Christmas Winner show". The Winner, not in Amsterdam, but this year for the first time in Gorinchem. It was Jaklho Here Am I "Ami" her first performance in the show ring, where she was entered in the minor puppy class. That is for puppies from 4 - 6 months old. She stood there with her sister, Jaklho Someday One Day "Sambal" from Kyra and Arno de Groot. Judge Vytautas Baranauskat (Lt.) had a hard time deciding who to win this class. Ami was the lucky one. But the day wasn't over yet. In the ring of honor, Ami had to compete against all the other best minor puppies of all breeds. The ring was well filled with all those young rascals. Mrs. Marij Mestrom (NL) was asked to do this judging and after two shortcuts Ami was still in the ring. And what a great honor that Ami was allowed to stand behind the plate with a big no.1 on it. A super start to hopefully a great show career. |

Due to physical limitations, showing
dogs is on the back burner. However, occasionally we're back, as we were
on September 22, at the Championship Club-Show of breed club Nippon Inu. A magnificent result for Ch. Jaklho Keep A Dream In Your Pocket "Keeper". Even at the age of 9, he manages to catch the eye of the judge. Breed specialist Mrs Janice Bannister, who, for many years, has been breeding Shibas very successfully under her kennel name "Janeryl, was invited to judge the 45 entered Shibas. Keeper was entered in the veteran class and successively he won best male in the veteran class, best male, best veteran in show and finally Best Of Breed. This victory also means that for the 3rd time, Keeper has qualified for "Dog of the Year Show". Dutch Jr. Ch. Jaklho You're My Spirit, owned by Kyra & Arno de Groot was entered in a strong open class and the judge rewarded him with a nice 2nd place, rated with excellent.
